Brief Description of Services:
Child Care Assistance is provided by the New York State Child Care Block Grant. Reimbursement may be available for the cost of child care while a parent or caretaker is working or attending school or college. Family income must be less than 200% of the Federal Poverty Level to qualify. Child Care Providers must be Registered or Enrolled prior to reimbursement. Other regulations and requirements may apply. Eligibility determination can only be done after a completed application has been submitted.
200% Poverty Level Figures (effective 06/01/2019 to 05/31/2020)
Each additional member, add $4,420.00 to Federal Poverty Level; $8,840.00 to 200% Federal Poverty Level.
On May 1, 2019, the Office of Children and Family Services revised the Child Care Assistance Application. (Form OCFS-6025 Rev. 05/19). The Child Care Unit cannot accept any previous versions after September 1, 2019.
