Visitation Schedule

Correctional Center Visitation Center Table

 Visitation Update September 25, 2020

Effective October 6, 2020 (tentatively) and in consultation with SLC Public Health, non-contact visitation for inmates and their family and friends will begin.  This is a gradual transition and social distancing and crowd size is still enforced.  These measures are being taken to safeguard the health of our incarcerated individuals, employees and our community against COVID-19.  The process will be continually reviewed and modified as necessary.

In order to make this a successful transition the following procedures will be in place:

  • All classified inmates will be allowed to have one (1), thirty (30) minute secure visit per week.
  • Secure visitation will be conducted Tuesday - Sunday between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
  • Visitors must arrive at least 15 minutes before scheduled vist time to accomodate sign in and screenings.
  • All visitors shall be screened and a temperature check prior to being placed in the secure visit booth.
  • Inmates and visitors will wear masks at all times.  Visitors will be responsible for bringing their own mask. If masks are removed the visit will be terminated.
  • A maximum of one (1) visitor age eighteen (18) or older per inmate.
    • A minor child may accompany an adult.

Clergy and attorneys needing access to parishioners or clients should contact 315-379-2367 to prearrange appointments for admittance for secure visitation, arrangements will remain at the discretion of the Sheriff.

Please check back for further updates on visitation.

By allowing inmates to maintain contact with their families and friends thru periodic visits, both the inmate and the correctional facility benefit from improved inmate behavior during confinement.  It shall therefore be the policy of the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility that all inmates confined are entitled to periodic visits and such visits shall be permitted with the inmates consent.
